Remove a Task

You can remove a task from the Workflow panel on the summary page. Complete one of the following options:

IMPORTANT: A task that has been completed cannot be removed.

  1. Select a task and click Delete record on the Workflow panel.

  1. Click OK in the Delete Selected Items box.

The Workflow panel refreshes and shows the remaining tasks in the workflow.

  1. Right-click a task on the Workflow panel.
  2. From the menu that appears, click Delete.

  1. Click OK in the Delete Selected Items box.

The Workflow panel refreshes and shows the remaining tasks in the workflow.

The Task Utility tool can be used to find an existing case or a group of cases by identifying associated tasks, which can then be removed.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Users must have the Task Utility permission selected under Case User in PLL Admin. See Security Roles in the PLL Admin Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

NOTE: This page can be accessed by adding a custom URL to your site menu in Designer. In the URL field, enter CWPermit/UF/Case/Page/CUFTaskUtility.aspx. See Configure the Cityworks Toolbar in the Designer Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

  1. Open the Task Utility tool.

  1. Enter search criteria, such as the case number or case type, in the corresponding fields.
  2. Click Search.

Results matching your search criteria display below the search form.

  1. Select a case and the tasks display below.
  1. Select the desired task(s).
  1. Select Delete Selected Tasks.

  1. Click Submit.
  2. If the selected task(s) have been completed, a warning opens to verify you want to proceed with the action.

  1. Click Yes. A success message displays and the task(s) is removed.
