Reopen a Task

The Task Utility tool can be used to find an existing case or a group of cases with tasks to reopen.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Users must have the Task Utility permission selected under Case User in PLL Admin. See Security Roles in the PLL Admin Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

NOTE: This page can be accessed by adding a custom URL to your site menu in Designer. In the URL field, enter CWPermit/UF/Case/Page/CUFTaskUtility.aspx. See Configure the Cityworks Toolbar in the Designer Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

  1. Open the Task Utility tool.
  1. Enter search criteria, such as the case number or case type, in the corresponding fields.
  2. Click Search.

Results matching your search criteria appear below the search form.

  1. Click the link for one of the cases and the tasks display below.
  1. Select the desired task(s).
  1. Select Re-open Selected Tasks.

  1. Click Submit.
  2. If the selected task(s) have been completed, a warning opens to verify you want to proceed with the action.

  1. Click Yes to reopen the task(s).

A success message displays, the Completed Date is removed from the selected task(s), and the task(s) are reopened.
