The Tasks tab allows you to search for cases using task information.

1. Open the search form.
2. Click the Tasks tab.

3. Enter the task information you want to search for such as the Task Code, who the task was assigned to, or the type of task.

4. Select the Task Fields Visible in Search Results check box.

5. Select which fields you want to be visible in the search results section.

TIP: Use <Ctrl + click> or <Shift + click> to select multiple fields.

6. Once you've entered your search criteria, click Search.

You can search tasks on a case directly from the Workflow panel on the Case Summary page.

1. Click the plus icon at the top of the Workflow panel to reveal more options.

2. Click the first drop-down list to select what field you want to search by, such as the Task Code or Status.
3. Click the second drop-down list to select the operator for the search, such as Contains, =, <>, >, >=, In, Not In, etc.

4. Select the other search options to filter your results. See for more information.

5. Click the arrow icon to search the tasks in the Workflow panel.

Task Manager can be used to find an existing case or a group of cases by identifying a specific task and updating information on the task.

1. The Login ID automatically populates with the user's login, but can be changed by deleting the login and clicking the Lookup icon.

• Select the login ID of the employee you wish to add.
• Click Submit.

2. Use the calendar icon or double-click in the field to enter the From and To dates you want to search.
3. Select the Task Type, such as an inspection, from the drop-down list.
4. Select if the task is or is not Available or Complete.

NOTE: You can also click Compact View to condense the Search Panel.

5. Click Search.

6. Click a task to view its details, such as the case type/number, case subtype, and task name.

From here you can update the task you selected.

The Task Utility tool can be used to find an existing case or a group of cases by identifying associated tasks and updating tasks.

PREREQUISITES: Users must have the Task Utility permission selected under Case User in PLL Admin. See Security Roles in the PLL Admin Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

NOTE: This page can be accessed by adding a custom URL to your site menu in Designer. In the URL field, enter CWPermit/UF/Case/Page/CUFTaskUtility.aspx. See Configure the Cityworks Toolbar in the Designer Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.

1. Open the Task Utility tool.

2. Enter search criteria, such as the case number or case type, in the corresponding fields.
3. Click Search.

Results matching your search criteria appear below the search form.

From here you can remove tasks, time accounting data, and comments, as well as reopen tasks on a case. See Task Utility Tool for more information.
