Add Time Accounting

You can add time spent on a task using the Edit Task panel on the summary page or tools such as Task Manager.

  1. On the Workflow panel, select Edit record next to the desired task.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Task panel and click Add record in the Time Accounting section.

NOTE: You can also add and remove attachments and comments associated to the task. See Use Attachments on a Task and Use Comments on a Task for more information.

  1. Click Lookup for Time Accounting to the right of the Time Code.

  • Select the time code you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  1. The Time Spent By field automatically populates with the user's login ID. However, this can be changed by removing the current ID and clicking Lookup for Time Spent By on the right.

  1. Use the calendar icon or double-click in the field to enter the task complete Date.
  2. Enter the amount of Time and any additional comments.
  1. Click Accept.

A success message opens and the record is added to the task.

  1. Once you have added the time to the task, click Save on the Edit Task panel to save the information on the task.

NOTE: You can also edit, view, and remove time accounting information associated to the task. See Edit Time Accounting, View Time Accounting, and Remove Time Accounting for more information.

  1. Perform a search in Task Manager. See Search for Tasks for more information on performing a search.
  1. Click the task you want to add time to.

  1. Click Time Accounting at the bottom of the panel.

  1. Click the Lookup icon to the right of the Time Code field.

  • Select the time code you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  1. Click the Lookup icon to the right of the Time Spent By field.

  • Select the login ID of the employee you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  2. Enter the amount of Time and any additional comments.

  1. Click the save icon to add the time to the task.
