The Payments tab allows you to search for cases using payment information.

1. Open the search form.
2. Click the Payments tab.

3. Enter the payment information you want to search for such as the fee code, the amount paid, or the date the payment was received.

NOTE: The Amount Paid field includes the numeric search icon to search by specific ranges. See Search Within a Numeric Range for more information on the numeric search icon.

4. Select the Payment Fields Visible in Search Results check box.

5. Select which fields you want to be visible in the search results section.

TIP: Use <Ctrl + click> or <Shift + click> to select multiple fields.

6. Once you've entered your search criteria, click Search.

You can search payments on a case directly from the Payment panel.

1. Click More Options at the top of the Payment panel to reveal more options.

2. Click the first drop-down list to select what field you want to search by, such as Tender or the task's Status.
3. Click the second drop-down list to select the operator for the search, such as Contains, =, <>, >, In, Not In, etc.

4. Enter your search criteria in the text entry field.

5. Click the right arrow to search the tasks in the Payment panel.

Use the Payment Utility tool to find and remove payments associated to a case. This search panel can be used to find an existing case or a group of cases by identifying associated payments. For more information on deleting payments from a case using the Payment Utility Tool, see Remove a Payment.
