Add a Task

Tasks are the individual steps required for a case to progress from application to completion. Default tasks attached to the case template are listed on the left-hand side of the panel. Additional tasks may be added as needed. Depending on the Task Code chosen, different fields may appear.

NOTE: Tasks may already be configured by the administrator and added to the case.

  1. Click Lookup for Task Code next to the Task Code field to open a selection window.

  1. Select either the Add Task Group or Add Task option. Add Task Group allows you to add a group that has predefined, related tasks. Add Task allows you to add an individual task.

The Suggested Start Milestone and Suggested End Milestone fields are already populated with a suggested milestone, but can be changed.

  1. Select either Insert At Specified Milestone or Insert Before Specified Milestone to insert the task at the milestone or before the milestone entered in the Suggested Start Milestone field.
  2. Click Submit.

NOTE: Once a Task Group is added to the workflow, individual tasks in that Task Group that aren’t needed can be removed. See Remove a Task for more information.

Some fields may automatically load depending on how the task was configured by the administrator.

  1. Use Lookup for Department and Lookup for Division to assign the task to a specific department and/or division.
